I’ll never forget the way they vanished everyone in the room, arguably the universe
as Merritt repeated

Following their long awaited, I Do’s
We’d met a few times before this day
Through celebrations and unions of dear friends
How lucky am I to witness and document their great love as an outsider
Only to be graciously invited to see them fully in their own bliss and joy
Surrounded
By their dearest friends and loves
Did I mention talented too?
Gathered in The Great Hall
The sun shone brightly
Albeit we didn’t step a single foot outside
We felt an undeniable warmth all day and night
A green room for dressing
Enjoying coffee and Carly Rae Jepsen
Honouring missing company with beers and borrowed jewelry
Big emotions and city views upstairs
Every touch felt personal
An intimate reveal, just for two
Rehearsal with the band

No need to fret over a tear in the dress
The show must go on
And that it did
Music brings people together in the very best ways
We came to witness a union
A marriage
Between not just two
But the whole dang room
The connections and friendships that live between this group
Through sound and light and dance
Appetizers, cocktails, wigs and instruments
Heads thrown in laughter
Sharing tears and handkerchiefs
Long, tight embraces only
