I always feel so privileged to document you in your treasured spaces.
I love to imagine which of these frames will still be kicking around in 10, 20, 40 years.
I hope you’re reminded of the warm sun on your skin, the cool air
The sound of wading water, crackling ember, boards creak under each step
the way your jeans held on for life after a dip in the lake
The distinct summer scents of burning firewood, craft beer and wet dog
We scored big time with the sunset plastered across the lake, but I hope that these photographs bring them back to the great joy painted on their faces.
When I’d first moved to town, I’d been so lucky as to meet a really great friend while working at a local vet clinic. Genuine, kind and compassionate, the very best dog Mama of four, and fellow baker and dessert enthusiast. I think we’d first bonded over a lunch break of cheesecake – and of course our deep appreciation for the company of these fur coat companions.
I had the very best time photographing this sweet gang as they soaked in the last hour of late August sun. They played in and around the water, just enjoying one another’s company.
Thank you for inviting me to see you and your loves in your element.
Thank you for trusting me with your memories.
Welcomed to this lakeside summer camp by Brooke and Matt to photograph their big, happy, gorgeous family.
Meet their second, third, fourth, and fifth greatest loves, Leaf, Angel, Rosie and Timber
