Kendra + Mason – Little Trout Bay Maternity

Kendra and I both made the big move from Southern Ontario to Thunder Bay, just one year apart

We connected over experiencing this challenging and rewarding season
Together we shared in a countdown to daylight savings
Worship for the warm and late, bright sun and skies
Deeper appreciation the little things – but especially our four legged companions

We leapt. We journeyed with our partners 17 hours through woods and sky and sights not unlike those you’ll find here.
We found somewhere new to call home, even for a little while.

Little Trout Bay felt sentimental
To Kendra and Mason, this space embodies their home in the North.

We could never have guessed that the day we would meet,
would be their final day in Thunder Bay

Our time felt especially sacred.

They’d shared a tough day preparing for their big move home

This would be the space that they could let that all go and cling to all that’s ahead.

Ahead,
A final evening lakeside
Sharing excitement as the sun sets
A long drive home
A baby girl on the way

Big Brother, Ranger, broke the news

What better place to honour their chapter here, and the chapter that has only just begun

I’m incredibly honoured that K + M would invite me to document this tender and fleeting season
